What are Age Spots?

The term ‘age spots’, also known as ‘sun spots’ or ‘solar lentigo’, refers to blemishes on the skin that, over time, appear on your face, hands and body. This so-called hyperpigmentation is the result of overexposure to the sun.

Age spots are flat, range in colour from a reddish brown to black, and vary in size. In the vast majority of cases, age spots pose no health threat, but they have been known to obscure the detection of skin cancer and therefore do deserve your attention.

Despite being a benign condition, age spots are often considered unsightly by those that have them. Treatment, using one of the Spotner products, is easy and effective.

What are scars?

Scars are marks on the skin after a surface injury or wound has healed. A very superficial wound will generally not leave a scar. But when deeper skin layers are damaged the body will start producing collagen fibres to ‘bridge the gap’. The composition of these fibres is, looks and feels different from that of ‘normal’ skin. A scar can be either raised (hypertrophic) or indented (atrophic). Raised scars occur when the body overproduces collagen fibres. Indented scars tend to occur when underlying fat or muscle tissue was destroyed.

Spotner Hands & Body revolutionizes the treatment of hyperpigmentation. Commonly known as age or sun spots, hyperpigmentation is the darkening of skin caused by an increase in melanin due to sun exposure. Obviously, these spots occur on skin that has had the most sun exposure over the years. Spotner Hands & Body was specifically developed to treat age spots on the back of your hands and top of your feet, your shoulders and upper back.

Spotner Hands & Body contains an innovative combination of botanical extracts and alpha-arbutin, perfect for diminishing age spots, which is released through the pen’s soft tip. The pen is extremely simple in use and allows very precise application of the product, avoiding the halo effect of many other products. Encapsulation of the natural acids in Spotner Hands & Body ensures gentle treatment. And to prevent the reappearance of hyperpigmentation, Spotner Hands & Body offers your skin SPF 50 UV protection.

Twist the lower end of the pen (approx. 10 turns on first use), to push the cream up into the applicator. Apply the cream directly onto the spots on the back of your hands and/or other parts of your body, by placing the soft tip against your skin. Leave to dry before applying other skincare products or cosmetics. Use twice daily for 2-3 weeks or until the spots disappear. Recap the pen firmly after use. Store at room temperature.

For external use only. Do not use on pre-existing skin markings such as moles, birthmarks and scars. In case of abnormal pigmentation, consult a dermatologist. Avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Discontinue use in the event of irritation. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
